Thank You All

Well, here it is Christmas Eve, and we just want to send out our deep gratitude to everyone who joined in this seminal peace-making event. We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response. We have had 1,685,122 visitors to the website since it started in late October, with a total of 14,054,949 hits. Wow!

The world is crying out for some positive energy, and all of you who joined with us in the GlobalOrgasm for Peace have surely made a difference. The world is at a tipping point at which the slightest nudge one way or the other will decide our futures. If the Global-O created even the minutest of positive effects, it is a triumph, and a part of the foundation on which other peace initiatives can continue to build.

We watched the Global Consciousness Project's live read-outs from their network of random event generators and we like to think we saw more fluctuation than usual. Wishful thinking, perhaps, but wishing for something positive never hurts. The director of the GCP, Roger Nelson, has said that more events of this kind will be needed for statistical analysis to be meaningful, so here's the plan: we would like all of you to continue to practice dedicating your orgasms to world peace, or to any positive-energy intent that will help the Earth heal and will join the human race in partnership, and continue to carry out this practice during the year, leading up to the Second Annual GlobalOrgasm for Peace on December 22, 2007. 

With everyone primed and practiced in concentrating conscious intent, and with all year to prepare, we will try for a truly Synchronized, all-at-one-time Big O next year, to achieve the greatest effect.

We have some preliminary results of the Cities contest to find the city from which came the greatest number of visitors to the website on GlobalOrgasm Day, according to Google Analytics:

There was a worldwide total of 214,806 visits to the site on December 22.

Madrid, Spain maintained its lead and created 4735 visits

Bangkok, Thailand followed closely with 4237 visits

Paris, France was third with 3212 visits.

North America was led by Los Angeles, California with 1097

In South America, the leader was Santiago, Chile with 926

Moscow contributed 1567

And a big thank you to Reykjavik, Iceland, which showed up with 379 visits.

As for actual orgasms counted, there were many on the blog and in our email from all over the world, and we heard this morning from a participant in Toronto, Canada with a personal tally of her own:

Yay, Toronto! And YAY to everyone, wherever you are, who took part, visited the site, e-mailed us and posted on our blog and others, wrote articles, interviewed us and smiled along with us in the GlobalGiggle. If nothing else, there were a lot of happy people in the world on Friday, which is a giant step for humankind!
